Hi guys, as my 04 Classic Bullet has just gone - and I have now gone down the EFI route with a new Woodsman - I have to let our recent bobber build of a 1952 Sunbeam S8. Just posting here as I thought it might interest the Enfield owners prior to a new Year listing on a well-known tyre kicking site. After languishing in a museum for many years we completely overhauled this beautiful 1952 S8 and with a few well-considered touches turned it into an stunning light bobber. The bike has only 4500 on the speedo, all metal and cycle parts are either professionally painted with the petrol tank lined in gold in homage to 1930s Sunbeams. Many new parts from Stewart Engineering have been fitted including manifold, new Amal Mk 1 carb, new throttle assembly and cable, exhaust spring, cables, new wiring, air filter, recon speedo, new front brake shoes - the list is longer than summarised here. Chopped stainless guards fitted, hubs blasted and painted, wheels rebuilt by Anglia Wheels with stainless spokes on original Dunlop rims, new Avon SM Mark 2 tyres, low profile Optima leather seat with specially engineered hinges so it sits perfectly within the space. Petrol tank cleaned and sealed, engine, gearbox and clutch have had all oils and fluids replaced. 250 miles since being returned to road. Bike currently on display in Belstaff shop window in Glasgow and will be available for collection in the New Year. Couple of things left to sort and bike will need new oil, petrol and battery charged. Bike cost around £8500 to buy and build. The original mudguards, stays and air filter cover are all painted and in protective wrapping. Original S8 saddle included in box of spares. The bike has featured in various magazines. A true one-off that is a real crowd puller or that would look good in the lounge, but easily returned to original. Reason for sale is lack of room! £6500 or very nearest offer please.
