do you have the necessary paperwork to register the bike in the UK? would you be willing to do the registration part after a deposit was taken?

Hi yes I have the paperwork to show that all import dutys were paid and the various paperwork required to register the bike must have the speedometer changed from kph to mph I have the complete new mph speedo with the bike and also the tyres must be changed to comply with eu spec again I have a set of tyres to suit the bike that are brand new I don't have the facility to move the bike around but with that in mind I would accept £2500 to more than cover the inconvenience

Thankyou

You say you have all the "various paperwork required to register the bike", but do you have the actual certification that it has passed the SVA test??

You correctly say that the speedo has to be changed from KPH to MPH, and the tyres need to be to EU spec, however there is far more involved than this to get the certificate. Does it pass the EU emissions limits? Is the fuel filler cap height, within the acceptable clearance of the fuel tank? Are the lights and indicators EU marked accordingly?

In 2004 I imported a Bullet 500 from Goa, under the mis-apprehension that I'd bought a bargain. However I had to make various additional changes to the bike roadworthy which I didn't anticipate, in order for it to pass the SVA. (Some of these involved the above points). In the end, it was no cheaper than buying a UK spec bike!

Knowing our friends in Brussels, I wouldn't be surprised if there are even more hoops to jump through nowadays!

Thanks for your post yes all the indicators and headlamp are correctly e marked the fuel filler falls within the allowed tolerances and the emmisions should be within range as the engines are manufactured to the same spec regardless of the vehicles destination I'm in possession of the import paperwork and the import duty paid paperwork as well the next step is the sva test after consultation with a bike dealership the clocks have been bought and also the tyres as well this is reflected in the price if this bike that has only covered delivery miles and if which there are only 2 others currently registered in the uk making it a very rare machine indeed

Cheers any info needed please email it txt me

sorry, it is a 10 yr old home market bike , (bad quality) with possible problems getting it registered on a 9/10 yr old number plate! the bike has no mfg warranty as such. and even UK market ones were less than £1900 brand new (registered) , as the bike is new , will you stand the warranty?

I think your price is VERY optimistic,

fear not , ebay may be your friend

correct ,A home market bike not sold outside of india, HOWEVER I know of at least 6 forum members that own legally imported/registered models of this type.

good luck with your sale , however I notice the asking price has now dropped 33% ?

I have a reserve offer of 2000 in place so i think I should accept that given the attitude here. There is no asking price now as I have states I will consider it sold to the gentleman that has come to view it
