Am considering selling my Father's Interceptor but don't know if I am quite ready.
It is in Very Good, running condition and with little restoration done that was not strictly original.
Bike has been shown in the States at various Vintage motorcycle shows and won numerous awards. May be willing to part with it for the right offer. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. Photos available upon request

I think maybe you should come back when you've decided if you do want to sell? It's not really fair to invite enquiries (yes, that is the correct spelling in English Mr US Spellcheck!) if there's no certainty of a Sale at the end of it. I'm sure you'll get a good response when you do, the 1A is a great bike and I wish I had room for one, I already have a Mk1 and a Mk2 project! Good luck,

Agreed, Just wondering if this bike holds any interest.
Suppose the proper spelling of inquiry depends on which side of the pond your from.
Webster defines enquiry as a variant. I could go either way, Thank you for your input. I will make up my mind.

No harm in dipping a toe into the water, is there? I don't for one minute really want to sell my S2 Inter, but if someone offered me more than I think it's worth, I would have to consider it, wouldn't I? No harm at all in testing the market.

Bob, I do understand the "test the water" theory but that would be better achieved by asking "what do we think it's worth" which would get replies from those who are interested as well as knowledgble bystanders, which is what many on this site are when it comes to Interceptors, which are pretty rare over here in the UK. As it happens, I know of a 1968 1A which sold by private sale from UK Ebay just recently and seems to be very similar to your description. It is a good runner, couple of minor issues, no UK registration (no Title you would say,) but otherwise taxes paid. That went for £6,500 here in England. Bear in mind Import costs would be IRO £1,000 if buying direct from the US and that gives a rough idea. 1As are too rare here to make much of a book on but other sales suggest somewhere about £8k on the road here. Hope this helps! And OED defines Enquire as to ask a question and Inquire as to look in to, rather different meanings! I wasn't having a go at you, just that the spellchecker is US English not English English and p&*es me off sometimes! Webster is a US dictionary I think, so would be the same. Do let us know if you do want to sell, this is an excellent place to advertise and we've had several folk posting for Inters in the last few years, though mainly for S2s. The 1A is greatly overlooked I think.
Hope this helps! REgards, Mark

Thing about prices is that at the end of the day something is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. If at a given time several people are looking for one... then the price goes up, and when no one is looking for one then it becomes another unsold on EBay lot.
Real auction prices seem to be low at the moment, certainly Stafford had some bargains, or I'd usually suggest giving it to an auction house to deal with it.
If you don't know if you are ready to sell it then I suggest you aren't.
