I have listed my 1959 Indian Apache on a US auction site called bringatrailer. The auction ends Thursday so there isn't much time remaining. I thought there might be interest in seeing the pictures (and maybe someone would be interested in bidding on short notice).
Here is a link to the auction:

Regards,
Phil Andersen
ps without tons of help from Allan and the gang this would never have been possible to build.

Hi, why does the back mudguard on this model go up and down with the swingarm? Vince

For some reason that's how the factory built them, all the other Indian-badged models seemed to have the normal rear mudguard mountings. Possibly they thought the other 700 twin, the Trailblazer, looked a bit staid, so it could have been intended to lighten the look a bit. Still looks odd to me.

Hi, well apart from the appalling seat ,this model was the off road version. The idea of a mudguard hammering up and down not only increasing unspring weight but smashing itself to bit and lack of tyre clearance ugh! But I have never found any rationale for it. Vince

Funnily enough the current Bullet Bobber craze has picked up on something similar, they sometimes junk the rear mudguard and take the front one off and refit-it in shortened form to the swinging arm. Doesn't look any better more than 60 years later.

Not forgetting the Series D Vincents, for any fans of this stylistic weirdness.
