Thunderbird 2, any chance of a picture, please? If I had one I'd do the same modifications that you have, and maybe add a pair of fork gaiters. A.

No idea how to put pictures up, I could put my email up for you to contact me or is that not such a good idea?
Oh, and I put fork gaitors on too, you need to change the chrome tubes at the top to our hosts part number 170346 page 148.
Gaitors number 92504, page 149, not the only option but I know these fit.

Dear all

Thanks for your responses all helpful:- (I know I am not a purist but middle age crisis and all that, seemed a good idea at the time!)

New DROPBOX link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4ok7m8c0qx94p ... 3.jpg?dl=0

I was advised that import duty/tax was paid but original freight company cannot access records back to 2005 (so without that there is apparently no way of checking)

If anyone is interested I used http://OLX.in to collate comparisons and have suggested valuation based on these to HMRC - We will see - Approx £500-£600 + 6% Duty (+ 20% VAT Duty payable!)

OLX.in

(Use Above URL altogether)

Thanks ALL for extra help and TIPS in the meantime - Yes changed all oils to handbook spec before kick starting it into life (But thks for Oil Info Thunderdird 2)- Was manufactured Nov 2003!

NOVA scheme as it is now didn't exist in 2005! so the £5 penalty interest per day doesn't apply thankfully! but I think the HRMC take a view on circumstances in anycase as to whether they enforce this on a case by case basis.

We will see if it ever hits the open road! :)

Thunderbird 2,

don't worry about posting a picture just for me, thanks, from what you've said your bike will now look a lot like the Electra-XS, I can remember how they look (quite cool once you lose the sausage boxes).

Scaly's stuff is always helpful, except that I really would not recommend Tiny Pics, all that horrible pop-up advertising. Imagesia still has adverts but seems to be not too bad. Basically you can use any photo hosting website that gives you an HTML option in its code lists, I find with Imagesia you don't have to worry about resizing the photo.

So to post THIS:

Image

You create you account on line, up-load your photo and open up the list of codes for publishing:

Image

On the Imagesia list you want the 4th one down, HTML Code. Click on it, click on the copy button next to it, toggle back to your screen where you're composing your post on this message board and paste into the message (Ctrl+V is my favourite paste option). All being well, your picture is now posted.

Also check out Scaly's note on paragraph spacing, bascially type

Image

after each picture and paragraph!
