See? that's writing things from memory. Cardiff it is.

"You could be pawning one bike to buy another, or raising funds short terms to cover those Christmas costs."

Not seen the show and may be entertaining, but personally I'd rather cancel christmas than pawn me bike!

It used to last from a couple of weeks before, then decorations went up Christmas eve, and came down by the twelfth night. Now with commercialism starting to sell stuff in October, it really is the season of goodwill... All three months of it.

When I was a boy, Christmas was something special, it came, then quite quickly, it went again. Now it just replaces 'Winter' as a nicer name for the season.

Sorry, reminiscing again, but my parents would take me to London to Gamages toy store. I still have very excited and pleasant memories of those trips!

WHo's up for the best decorated R.E. then? LED christmas lights and some tinsel should do it.

Les, you could just be a bit more selective! If MartinBoomerang is genuine, this is a sad reflection of how people are scraping the bottom of the barrel for some new angle for yet another "reality" show, pawning seems to be the latest. Hmm... The Only Way is Solihull? The Real Bullet Riders of Basingstoke? Anglo-Indian Non-Chopper? How It's B*ggered Up? Perhaps a special issue of Destroyed in Seconds about the pre-UCE sprag clutch? Come on guys, let's give Martin a few more ideas, maybe we can steer him in a suitably productive direction, and we'll stumble across the result on Quest+1 in a year or two's time.

Hmm, it would be tempting to say "let me just price up this wish list from our hosts' catalogue.", but hopefully I have more self-respect than that! A.
