Royal Enfield 1931 570cc HS Sloper combination with Jawa side car
Very rare Model HS Sloper luxury edition, 570cc single cylinder engine, with 100 mm stroke. Fantastic cruiser which pulls and sounds like a tractor.
Rare luxury instrument panel with Ammeter, fully serviced Smith speedo, Smith Cricklewood 8-day clock and original Lucas light switch, Royal Enfield friction damper knob. Lucas bulb horn, original Lucas front lamp. Sidecar with Pyreen fire extinguisher and Lucas side car light. Original clean handle bar with cables and wiring going inside the handle tube. Foot and hand operated clutch. 3 speed hand change Sturmey Archer gear box.
Clutch, carburetor and engine cables all new with cotton sheathing, electrical 6V wiring completely new with vintage cables, knee pads new, footrest rubbers new.
Engine was rebuild from scratch with both new crank shaft ends, new main shaft bearings, new push rod bushes, new piston and new cylinder honing. New Terry valve springs. Value seats reworked. The oil pump was equipped with newly machined handmade cylinders and plungers for maximum oil supply. New primary and secondary chain. Original exhaust system. Air pump. 3 new tyres. All rubber parts including matching knee pads are new. New transmission main shaft bearing. Magneto has new bearings and was serviced. New brake linings front and rear which were machined on lathe for maximum brake performance.
The bike comes with a certificate from the Royal Enfield owners club (REOC) for its matching numbers. It was exported to Prague in 1931 from Redditch and equipped with a JAWA sidecar in Prague in 1931. All original documents from its first registration and during the war time under German 3rd Reich are available. I carries its first Czech registration number.
Bike was professionally rebuilt preserving its fantastic original patina. Collector vehicle rebuilt to run. Location south Germany.
