This is a request from the Motor Cycling Club to assist with the "Edinburgh Trial" which takes place on Saturday 5th October, 2019 (2 weeks from now).

The trial takes place in the Derbyshire /Staffordshire Peak District (doesn't go to Edinburgh these days). It begins at Tamworth Services on the M42; the first bike away is at 01:00. As often happens, the club becomes critically short of helpers to observe and mark competitors on the off-road sections.

The trial includes two, three and four wheeled vehicles (sometimes well over two hundred vehicles) which provides a great variety and really is as good to watch as it is to compete. Anyone who can offer help and enjoy a day out watching "grass roots" motorsport for free will be gratefully accepted.

I received this info from the Chief Marshal for the trial. If you can help, please contact him directly.

"EDINBURGH MARSHALS: Frustrating news from Derbyshire: With a greatly increased entry come opportunities, (!!!) the most significant of which is a frustrating shortage of marshals / observers especially through the night. We have two hill starts neat Ashbourne in class R as yet unmanned at 01:50 and a second at 02:30 both will be complete in an hour and just need two folk each to run. We have two tests either side of the Hollinsclough tea break as well that can't run for the sake of two people at each at 09:15 and 10;00am they should take about 2.5 hours each to run. If you can help contact Mark Gregg at Mark Gregg totalshell@aol.com via facebook or 07784-798710".

Many thanks! ;)
