Just under where I'm typing now, it asks if I would like to [ Disable BBCode ] or [ Not automatically parse URLs ]
Any idea on whether or not I want to, as I don't really understand what they are...

I think if you disable the BBCode, you will not be able to post a picture on here.
On the old board, you had to use HTML full linked to see this poor girl with the ar- - out of her pants, can`t afford spare parts for her motorcycle.

As Leon says the BBCode is a Forum based version of HTML. If you click on the little downwards pointing arrow head, next to the word Forum, in the dark red band across the top of the page you will see FAQ (frequently asked questions) scroll down through the topics and you will see a better explanation of the term. Mind you I have to say it didn't make things much clearer to me the first time i read it.
