Hi, just wondering if anyone is based near Chesterfield and if so if they get out together at all?
Group riding is not something I have every done before, but pottering about with other Enfield owners around Derbyshire would be something I'd be keen to have a go at.
Cheers, Andrew

There is an REOC Branch in Chesterfield, they have been a bit quiet in the past but there are new members recently who are looking for those interested in doing just this. They are running the REOC stand at the Stafford Show at the end of April if you want to talk to them!

Andrew, hi, I live near Matlock and would be up for a ride around the pleasant roads and lanes of Derbyshire. Let me know if thinking of going out and we can meet up. Cheers, Malc

I live near Worksop and my regular RE jaunts take me either via Matlock Bath (often for a fish and chips lunch stop) or via the Yondermann Cafe at Wardlow Mires (just up the road from Stoney Middleton). I'm originally from Belper so know a few local routes for pottering about. My brother in law also owns a RE, he lives at Hognaston near Carsington. I'd certainly be keen to meet others for a ride out and a natter over a coffee.

I'm also near matlock and there is another gent also with an 50's enfield twin in next village who I've got the number of, as way of an idea, the classic bike show is on at Stafford at the end of the month, why not use that as a destination?

Mark M - Thank you I will do just that!
Toxopholite, Wheaters, Super45 - Sounds like we can look to plan something then, would a Sunday as a starter be a good day to meet up?
Cheers, Andrew

My days off are a bit unpredictable because I work "on call" but I am often free on Sundays. I sometimes get Wednesdays as a day off/standby day.

Yes I could work with a Sunday with enough notice I do need to re-jet the bike before I do any more serious miles on it due to exhaust change but will do that mid month before the Stafford show but a short potter about shouldn't cause to much of a problem.

Count me out of the Stafford Show - at just under 90 miles it's too far to travel on my 350, especially as I don't have much choice other than use the M1 which I'm not very happy about. If I did go again I'd go by car. I stopped going a few years ago because each show I attended seemed to be an exact clone of the previous one, almost with everything in the same place as if they's never gone home.
