Is it true that the Gun may be split in 2, for 1/2 British and 1/2 Indian bikes?
Can't see how that would work in practice... what about rideouts with both, or tech stuff that would apply to either? Any ideas?

hi chris i,ve read this today front english back indian ,it would appear that mr benton and co are trying to split the club,i will be at the agm and ask if this is the case because the indian side of the club could be bigger than the english, this could cause a lot of bother and i,m supprised that the national committee have allowed this motion to be aired, also this would cause the editor of the gun a headache its like aparthide for the reoc, also i note that they want to send the gun via the internet to members with p.c,s well i,ll have that and i think the membership fee for those participating should be lowered as there would be no postage costs to the i.t recievers ,another hot potatoe?

Saw this in The Gun today - to be honest, I hope the motion for a split magazine gets defeated at the AGM in October. It sends a message that the club is split into two parts.

As far as I'm concerned, the club should value all Enfields equally, even if some were built in Britain ;)

Paul, Can't, unfortunately, make it... even with your suggestion of food pulling at me strongly!

Just had another look at the magazine and still can't see how they'd do it properly.... 3 letter pages? [1] for british, [2] for Indian, [3] for social that might include God forbid both, and the same for technical tips such as How to make an ashtray for your Bullet ( I made that bit up ] And what about the MAG pages... print the same thing twice, once in the Indian and one in the Brit section??? Somebody's selling a chair. Will he need to advertise it twice???? Ad on the back page for Holidays in Brittany and another on the front page for holidays in Brittany?? Membership renewal notice x2 ??/ OMG, time to stop and have a quiet whisky before bedtime. Chris

OK this is just my opinion......get ready to be upset..........WHY do we chop down trees to print a magazine in this day and age???? Surely we could do a better job on line (and save a deal of members cash as well)

Sorry, Alan, just had a little drink and seen your query:

For British readers: It's on a separate sheet, not in the magazine itself.
For Indian readers: It's on a separate sheet, not in the magazine itself.
