It's amazing the appeal of that engine. I went to S. Queensferry a couple of years ago to see it cross the Forth Bridge, the place was heaving. It seems to be a similar story everywhere it goes. Actually, for me at least, watching it cross the bridge was a bit of a let down. I'm not sure what I was hoping for but after waiting for what seemed like forever this wee train away above us slowly trundled across the bridge and that was it. I think it would've been better to see it close up and working for a living, maybe a long climb somewhere.

Berwick upon Tweed, Alan. About as far north as you can get and still be in England.
