A SixtyFive? I rode one for a day and was really impressed by it. Best of all worlds in a classic type machine?

Jamsey,
the only UK import RE that ticks all those boxes from the word "go" would be the Electra-X, there are still some low mileage examples coming up for sale now and again.
While a well-sorted example is actually a very good bike, the are a number of issues with them which have been debated at length on this and other forums, do a search and you will find out all you need to know!
Sixty-5s are drum brake bikes, but you can always fit a disk brake conversion or the front end off an Electra-X. The other alternative would be to go for an EFI Bullet with a carburettor conversion.

Sorry chaps, I could have sworn that 65 had a disc. Mind you it was a while ago!

Hello Jamesy
I have got a 2004 red bullet 65 that I am about to sell, I just need to work out how to post photos on here. I have turned it into a "trials style" but have all the bits to put it back to a standard 65, nothing has been cut chopped or permanently altered. Its in excellent condition with just a few small marks, its got electric start and 5 speed LH change. It does have drum brakes but to be honest they are more than adequate for a bike like this. It also passed its MOT last week with no advisories. Let me know if you are interested and i will email you some photos or if you want to come and have a look you are more than welcome, I am in Bromsgrove just off jct 1 M42
Regards
Paul

Hi Guys---- BURCO try this}----
https://imgbb.com/ ------ The Bullet '65 was a basic Iron engined 500 cc bike but with a styling exercise that tried to capture the "spirit" of the 1960's .....Most visually noticeable was the ribbed dual seat and the really odd colours...Mine first one was "Magic Green" whilst the current one is "Sparkle Red"...Also electric start, 5-speed gearbox and L/H gear change.........Yes, it did have drum fronts as OE...........IMHO That 5-speed box was a blessing compared to the standard 4-speed and seemed to release some more useable power from that poor old Iron engine.....
