I was recently guided to DPD Local. Cheap, don't seem to have weight restrictions and at my local depot anyway, helpful. One thing, all the courier companies have restrictions on certain items including what they call automotive parts. I suspect they are worried about bits that might have oil or fluids contained in them so make sure the parts are clean and tell them that this heavy object is a garden ornament! (Other varieties of white lie are available.) Also, consider insurance, even good couriers lose things and think what the cost or inconvenience of replacement would be!

Hi Mark--- beat me to it !!----------Aren't they the old Interlink people ??......I'll have to see how they compare....On E-Bay I quite often advertise that I will do a "Local" delivery within the Midlands using our postcodes and Google Mapping to give an agreed mileage then charge £6 per gallon based on my car doing 40mpg which equates to £6 per 40 miles for a one-way journey only....I ask for the petrol money to be paid upfront via PayPal ( They'll take approx. 5% for the service ) but will take the item payment as "Cash-on-Delivery" so I only pay the E-bay sales fee of 10% and avoid the PayPal fee on the larger amount....

I've used Parcel To Go comparison site which gives you loads of options.
