Hi guys, ... This DVLA on-line car tax checker service is great stuff, isn't it ??.........Recently a scruffy car appeared to be abandoned outside my house ( which is at the bottom end of a Cul-de-Sac ) so I did a check on it and guess what ??---- No Tax etc...so i phoned the local Police Station who said they'll send someone round when they can...OK, so now I'm Mr Clever on the keyboard and did a check on Joyce's car ( Yes, all's well there ) and just for the exercise, I did a check on my Bullet....Guess what ??.. the MoT ran out 3 weeks ago !!..OOerr, Missus !!.....I'll book it in for this coming Wednesday if possible ..

It's easier and probably more effective to report directly to the DVLA online. I've done this a couple of times re old vehicles that appeared to have been abandoned and were getting more and more vandalised, becoming a real eyesore. A few days later a notice appeared on the windscreen, within 30 days after that they had been towed away. One of them was actually on SORN - not sure what the keeper thinks the O stands for....I doubt that the police are that interested unless the vehicle is causing an obstruction.
