Hackers seem to have taken over/hit the Aussie Enfield forum?

Either that or Yabba is the process of crashing?

Can you get in, Leon?

I can not log on there either. Perhaps trouble with the new Australian Government National Broadband roll out is causing problems.

I can not even get Google at the moment. Had to go with another search engine. Every body where I am living is having massive problems with there internet connections. The Labor party started rolling out fibre to the houses. When they lost power to the Liberal party they decided to do a cheaper alternative with fibre to the node and then leaving the old 80 year old copper telephone wires which go to each house to carry the last of our internet connection. This is the dumbest thing that any body could have thought of and all our phone and internet traffic has slowed down to be slower than the old dial up. Modern glass fibre and then onto the old existing copper wire to every bodys houses and businesses. Only in Australia. Vietnam has a faster internet than we do at the moment.

Hi Alan R I am the same I have a big green National Broadband Network box on my front nature strip that has the glass fibre in it and for the last 15 feet from it into my house it is an old crappy copper wire. Is this progress, where is the future that we were promised with super fast down load speeds and no drop out troubles, every internet problem solved. It all went down the tubes by penny pinching governments and pieces of 80 year old copper wire. Until we get fibre into the premises this system will never be able to deliver. I have to watch HD youtube videos by downloading them into my computer desk top and then opening and looking at them from there just to avoid the buffering all the time. I am just hoping that the future will bring something better.

Charlie Tizzard (moderator) explains.
Hi all,

I am currently doing some forum upgrades to fight a massive spam problem that has limited new user registrations. I also plan to make some small improvements. During this time I ask that you please be patient and I will endeavor to make the changes as painless as possible.

Cheers,
Charlie.
