I bought this totaly dismantled Meteor in May, some of it was in boxes but the boxes were half full of water, the tinware was rusted through, lots missing including inner and outer chaincase, carb, speedo and lots of parts broken
Why I bought it I don't know but I like a challenge

Wow, that was quick work! It looks fantastic, how do you like it on the road? I had a 1953 model for many years but recently parted with it to Mr Hitchcock. I loved the soft torquey engine, really very different from the later Super Meteors, Connies and Interceptors. I only sold it because I wasn't using it and space was tight. Will we see it out and about and if so where?

Thanks for posting the photos and the comments, I have only been up and down my lane on it to check gears, brakes and clutch etc and it is very torquey I agree, am really pleased with how it turned out. It's a sidecar model with damper, extended forks and front mudguard stays on the front of the fork, the tank badges are home made as a lot of stuff is like inner chain case, steering damper and rear brake plate, most of the tinware has been cut and welded including the tank. I still spent a fortune with out hosts and their service was excellent, parts ordered Monday arrived on Wednesday, I cant fault them.
I have to register the bike now with help of the owners club, I have no paper work but all numbers match so I don't see a problem. I live just outside Swansea if anyone lives nearby drop me a line.

Hi Colin, the bike looks great. I worked on one of those a few years back, very pleasant to ride. I am probably not far from you, living near Llandovery. Regards, Paul.

Hi Colin,
as the picture posting problem raises its head here quite frequently, the quick answer is to go back to your picture hosting web site, and under the list of codes for posting pictures on web sites, forums etc, select the HTML code, NOT the BBcode, as THIS forum doesn't take it!
Copy and past the HTML code into your message here and it should show your picture.
