Hi all somebody got me thinking they said why don't you buy an old style number plate black silver type does anybody know wear I can purchase a old plate any sort of numbers letters as long as it is the black silver age thanks

Plenty of on-line number plate dealers, just type in 'registration numbers for sale' . There's also lots on e-bay and DVLA sell them themselves.

Hi Chris I been on dvla I can see plates from 1963 like XUE619E but they are showing them on a yellow plate but if I purchase one could I then fit this as a black and silver plate is this legal

Hi Dazza, bikes had to be pre 72 to be legally allowed to display the plate in black and white. This has, for some reason, been extended to 1975, even though by then all vehicles where yellow and black. Some people buy a pre 72 number for a later bike and display it with a black and white plate, it's not legal, but that's up to you
