For those who are not aware - and if not - why not? - this weekend is the grand REOC 40th Birthday bash - its a grand affair being held at the George Albert Hotel and camping site, Warden Hill, Evershot, Nr Dorchester, DT2 9PW and there is a Talk by Gordon May on his travels to India, followed by Mark Wells, Head of Global Product Strategy and Industrial Design from the new Bruntingthorpe Royal Enfield Site. Sure there will be loads going on and lots of special and original bikes to view. This is topped off with a big dinner. We will have a small display of various interesting bikes and parts on Saturday and would love to say hello and chat to all. The REOC Marquee will be open from Midday on Friday 9th and is close to the camping area. The weather is due to improve for the weekend so dust off your bike and take a ride over.

I had planned to be there but sadly now can't make it, work has got in the way. Sorry to miss you all (maybe some will be grateful!) but I will be at the Moonrakers, Welsh and Interceptor Rallies. Not forgetting the Home Counties Rally cos I'm organising it! Here's hoping you all have a good time and Happy Birthday REOC!
REgards, Mark

I am riding down on a new Euro 4 Bullet - I hope I have some dry gear to start out on - I have got soaked too many times this week!

Having said I'm not going it's actually less than 60 miles away and the forecast for Saturday looks reasonable. Just need the sciatica to ease off a bit more...

I would like to thank all those involved in organising the above do,had a great weekend, excellent and varied bike display, lovely meal on Saturday evening,a good laugh with my three fellow West Riding Branch mates Chris,John and Ian, followed by a grand Sunday ride led by Robin around stunning roads in perfect weather.Pity about rain Saturday but luckily I enjoyed dry rides both down and back up North.
Also by pure chance my old mate,Van, who moved to France over 10 years ago was also on holiday over here and at the rally on his '59 350, we did the Sunday ride and had a drink and a natter in the bar afterwards.
Cheers Steve
