Just a thought.
Is there anyone here that would be up for some touring in Scotland in July?

I'm think about putting my old Enfield ('42 girder/rigid WDCO) on my 2 bike trailer and getting it to Oban. From there using the bike to tour the western isles for a few days.
There seems to be camp site availability in Oban to use as a base.
I'm looking for someone with a car with a towbar to go halves on fuel and take their bike on the trailer tool. My old series land rover is not up to the job of a long drive!
I'm in Hertfordshire.

cheers
Paul.

There is a nice campsite in Oban and also at Glen Nevis, just north of Fort William which would be good bases. RIDE Magazine have done a few articles about touring the west coast over the past year - have a look at their website if you want any ideas. It's great area with Glencoe and the rugged west coast offering fantastic scenery and roads, good luck with your plans! See http://www.motorcyclenews.com/Ride/Talking-points/ and scroll down for Scotland.....
