I found this today at the Danish equivalent of Halfords... An oil suction syringe. It holds a half liter of oil. Which is great when one has to change the oil and needs to fill up the timing chest. So pleased with it, I thought I'd share.

I bought an extractor pump years ago, which could be driven by an electric drill; I never used it once. It is still sitting on the shelf-----unused.

Do you have grease in your gearbox? I use a big plastic syringe to squirt 00 grease into mine, comes in very handy.

I've never looked into the gearbox Chris. Whatever they put in there when they built it, is still there. The bike (from 2003, registered first in 2005) has been used since 2014 and had stood still for 8 years having only done 1750 Km. I've put 3000 Km on the odometer since then. It was like getting a new bike for silly money. (I bought Thumper via an auction). No leaks from the gearbox, so no investigation as yet.

In fact, no leaks anywhere. Am I the only one with a non-leaky Royal Enfield?
