On Sunday 23rd April, Sammy Miller is hosting another ride-in starting 10am onwards, with departure normally 3.30 to 4.00pm. It is a good place to meet fellow Royal Enfield enthusiasts and enjoy a meal and drink and not forgetting to visit the fantastic museum. Robin Gillingham and myself will be there representing the Royal Enfield Owners Club, drop in and say hello. The address is Bashley Cross Roads, New Milton, Hampshire, BH25 5SZ. The Museum Website address is

I agree Adrian, it has to be done and the weather promises to be reasonable too. Hopefully some more Enfield fans will come along after reading Motor Cycle News today, they are advertising the event on page 13.

My local IAM group, Solent Advanced Motorcyclists, are meeting at Sammy Miller Museum as well this Sunday so I've no excuse for not taking the Enfield over, just need to fit some ali boxes, LED spotlights and dig out the hi viz to appease my IAM coleagues - only kidding ; )
Look forward to seeing a few Ennie's there on Sunday.

Nice run down to New Milton and a good selection of RE bikes (thanks for the leaflet Trev, I assume it you!). My AVL/Redditch was in exalted company...
The Continetal GT on the left was the museum's own, complete with DOHC engine conversion, anyone recognise the tank?
Also appearing (a selection), I may post a few more.
One for Scalyback
Did like this Crusader street scrambler with the model G front end
Nice un-butchered Sixty-5
Quite a few twins but only one 500 on display
Mikuni-fitted 350 Redditch Bullet
The latest Euro 4 EFI Bullet displayed by a dealer
Don't see so many Turbo Twins around
Beastly Big Head (Revelation 13:18)
The Connie looks fast just parked there
Arrival back home promptly followed by my next door neighbour and his BSA B33!

Great set of pictures, is that a Honda CB250RS petrol tank?

I think you're right Chris, if so the cap has been changed but it fits well. Interesting bike, anyone know anything about it?

I popped over but later in the afternoon and (heresy) on my Honda Africa Twin, don't worry they didn't let me park inside next to the real bikes! I didn't get there until about 3pm and not many Enfields left by then but Karl & Robin manning The Gun table were good ambassadors for the club, must get my membership app sent off.
My local IAM group were there so I got to chat to a few mates but interesting to here the difference in conversation and see the kit being warn by the two 'different' groups. I nearly felt out of place in my leather jacket among the Rukkas ; )
Nice ride home as well, only got the AT on Friday so this was my first try out, impressed, even sounds a bit like an Enfield on tiny throttle settings, uphil in top ; )
