This informal event will be at the Coffee Pot Tavern in Yardley Gobion, Northamptonshire on Saturday 13th May from 11.30. Postcode NN12 7TN. All old vehicles welcome, bikes, cars, trucks, bicycles, you name it. Free cup of tea for anyone arriving by classic transport! Hot and cold food and drinks available in the pub, the event is in aid of the pub's chosen charity Dementia UK, donations welcomed but there is no "official" entry fee. Yardley Gobion is only a short distance from the A5 and the well known biker's cafes The Super Sausage and Jacks Hill. With luck I will be bringing the Mk1A Interceptor but if not, some other Enfield! Previous events have been well attended with a great friendly atmosphere, come and join in! (We are also thinking of holding one of these events in association with another REOC Autojumble in the autumn, is anyone interested?)

Reminder, it's this weekend! I will be taking along the Oily Rag 1A Interceptor (with or without weepy tank,) and also the Mk2 and if I get it MOT'd in time I'll bring the Mk1 as well. We're expecting some other local Enfield riders and a broad collection of old machinery so please do join us!

A good day today, thanks to all the Enfield owners who showed up and everyone else who was there. We are planning another one in the Autumn, probably to coincide with an REOC organised autojumble so I'll let you know when we have more details! Thanks again,

Pic 1 is my 3 Interceptors lined up, 1970 Mk2 on the left, oily rag 1968 1A in the middle and 1966 Mk1 on the right.

Pic 2 is the fantastic tank logo for the 1970 model year

Pic 3 is Neil's 1924 Raleigh 3.5 hp on left and his Brother's 1930 BSA 500 sv Sloper, both doing the Banbury Run later this year

Pic 4 is Neil's 1931 Indian 101 Scout

Pic 5 is Andy's 1954 250 Clipper with some more modern bits like an Indian front brake to replace the 6" original!

Pic 6 is Mick's cafe racer Electra X, bought as an abandoned project and finished really nicely by him. He says the frame was supposed to be gold but is more of a metallic mustard colour but with the metallic burgundy tank it really works. The detailing was excellent.

There were several other Bullet riders who dropped by but I failed to picture their bikes so sorry James, Mick who rode down from Tamworth (I think it was!) and several others. There were lots of other vehicles (including scooters and bicycles and a fantastic pre-War Riley racing car) there at various times but I was too busy chatting to picture them!
