Hi, all. Just purchased a Shark Openline flip front helmet and have a big problem with draught coming under the front and making my eyes water. Shark listed a chin curtain pt.no. AC9500P which, from reports, cures this problem. However, I cannot find a source for this and apparently Shark have discontinued it. Is there anyone out there with one to spare? I'm desperate !!!

I used to have one of these exact helmets, personally I hated the chin curtain as I felt hemmed in by it so I binned it and put up with the draught until I eventually changed to a different helmet. Helmets are always very personal preferences, what works for one person doesn't for another. Since owning my RE I have used nothing but an open faced helmet, knowing and accepting the additional risks that carries. I hope you get yours sorted, Ralph.

The additional risk?, Some tests state that with open face there is more risk of damage to chin and nose, no surprise there, also they say that with full face there is more risk of a broken neck.now that was a surprise!!.

Open face and sunglasses for me - with a fairly Cavalier attitude. Extra weight of full face for the broken necks - I believe.

ralphp, waiting for a delivery is not the same as not available. I have several times had to wait up to six weeks for a backorder, until the supplier gets a delivery.
(In one case I had to wait until MOTAD made a batch of the silencer I wanted.)
