Hello,
Quick intro, I'm thinking about coming back to Enfield after a 10+ year gap. I had a 500 Army 5 speed back in 2004.
My ideal would be the 535 motor and more modern forks etc. in a less cafe racer style, but they don't make one, so the choice is C5 or GT.
So, does the GT survive UK conditions better having more European sourced parts? Is the 535's vibration more noticable on a longer run?
Thanks
Andy

Andy if you fancy a bit of nostalgia I've got a 2007 Army one (Tornado) for sale for not a huge amount of money . . .

Thanks guys. I only buy new, life is too short for annual trips to buy a non-strident horn or e-marked tyre air from some government approved mugger.
I think the C5 fits the bill best, just a bit concerned about corrosion and the like. My 2004 was a bit of a rust trap at 3 years old, but that was before ACF50.
Can anyone reccomend a dealer in Yorkshire?
Cheers
Andy

I have a 2016 CGT and a 2017 bullet and I can tell you they are two different beasts, my 2017 bullet is a nice relaxed touring bike, plonks along in 5 gear nicely and is a very pleasant comfortable ride, just perfect for a scenic ride, My CGT is much more highly strung, is not happy under 50 mph in top gear, likes a few revs on its rev counter, and just wants to do 70mph every where, yes it brings a smile to your face, but its really horses for courses, if you want a relaxed touring bike go for the Bullet 500, if your in a hurry go for a CGT.

Thanks Hagis,
I think I've made a deal on an Army Green C5, so I think I picked the right one.
Now, where did I put my Solider 95 boots, biscuits brown and NATO coffee!
BTW, anyone need a commuter bike, I'm trading a Honda NC750S.
