Thanks folks, the reason for my asking is that the REOC website shows a postcode for the venue that is about 3 miles from the 3 merry lads.
I have started to give the bikes a thorough delousing, neither have had any real attention these past two years. The Bullet has done more miles on a trailer than on its' own wheels while the Flash & a Box has only done a few hundred local miles.
Time to make up for lost time, though best see how it goes as last time out was last October

Hi Breezy, I didn't know about the Chesterfield branch meeting. Probably because I'm not a member of the REOC! I live in Church Warsop, Mansfield, and often wondered if there was a local meeting place. I wonder if I would be made welcome, as an "outsider"? I suppose I could join of course, but I am thinking of selling my Sixty 5. I am in Spain until mid April and have a bike over here, but we are thinking of rationalising my "collection" (3 bikes, including Spain!). So no final plan yet. Maybe see you there?

Nettshubby, the REOC is very happy for non-members to attend Branch meetings, we think this is the way to encourage new members by finding out whether it is for them! If you want to attend Rallies or use other Club services that's when you should join. I know some of the Chesterfield guys and they are a friendly bunch who will make you welcome!

Mark that was not the attitude I got from REOC management some years ago. Made me more than antipathetic towards REOC, in fact they could go screw themselves, twats. On the premise that the aforesaid twats have likely shuffled off I have actually joined the club, for one year provisionally.

Bryan, yes there were some rather (ahem) short sighted attitudes in the past, I remember them too. As a Branch Secretary myself and someone who is involved with a project to re-organise some of the Club facilities I can confidently say that is not the attitude now. Clubs are made up of individuals and there can always be the odd knob but the REOC is doing it's best to attract new (or not-so-new in your case!) blood. Don, (Chesterfield Branch sec) is a very friendly guy and Ed (Barnes who posted here) will surely buy you a drink when you show up as long as he's not on nights!
