Well as a Sevenoaks resident I suppose I should apologise but.......

...that junction at the fountain is a lunatic design. There have been innumerable accidents there (both large and small) as the yummie mummies (of which Sevenoaks has plenty) get confused.

The best accident though was an artic trying to do a U turn at that point, hitting the front of the the Loch Fyne Restaurant bringing down the facade of the premises and then not even bothering to stop!

You will find lots of lunatic 4/4 drivers in this town striving to get to the many (and I mean many) coffee houses. I get my own back by running through the town early Sunday mornings on the Conti(it has a Goldstar exhaust).

I forgot another classic.....the junction where the Merc decided to turn right is another well known stupidity spot.

If you approach the traffic lights from the left hand road sider of the junction in your video you find the traffic lights for the main drag are well set back from the junction itself. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen people who have moved forward from the junction on the green light turning right who are (seemingly)confronted by a red light. The latter is really only meant to be stopping the traffic on the main drag. Cue lots of emergency braking, confusion and swear words from the cogniscenti.

To my knowledge this junction has been the subject of at least 4 "in depth" investigations by the local Council and Kent Highways which has resulted in changes which have only made things worse.

Its part of the plot to keep the strangers out of Kent's version of Royston Vaisey.

Grew up there. Only place the bastard tin cans ever managed to knock me off a bike.

There are the previous two prime giggles too...








Even Kevin, who only has a week in the area got to see some appalling stuff.
