Feeling quite pleased, think it's an NH350 from 1956?

Be nice if I got it right!

Isn't it the 500 VH Red Hunter? - the barrel looks a little too tall for the 350 version.

I asked the question on another site, here are the responses -
1956ish VH or NH.
Normally on the timing side is VB /VH etc: Engine no.also is a giveaway!!I.e Google it
Obviously a Gentleman's Bike, parking itself neatly above the bowl
Nice woodshed too.

DVLA have it as Ariel, manufactured 1956, capacity 350, date of first registration 2003.
Untaxed at the moment but insured.

All freely available information these days.

Are we talking about the bike in Scalyback's photo? Because I can't see any reg number or any other identification on that machine. I thought the question was about that bike - not the one placed lower in this thread. But I maybe wrong.

I'm with Presto and think that Scaly's picture is what were trying to identify..

Looks like a VH 500 if you compare barrel height with Papas known NH 350..

Pity the wood shed bike wasn't pictured from the other side and a bit closer where there should be a VH stamped on the timing cover..

Heres a picture of a VH 500 taken with a potato, count the barrel fins..

Well, if I were a Swiss-German I'd pribably moan too or try to get a sense of humour implant. Is there a prize for establishing whether it's a 350 or 500? Does anyone really care?
