n 1976, I rescued a '54 350 Bullet from a hedge in Copnor near Portsmouth. The owner of the hedge was only too pleased to see the motorcycle removed, three months and a lot of Gunk later, it was running.
This is JRV 345, it was stripped and rebuilt at the Motor Club at HMS Daedalus (now closed) near Lee-on-the-Solent before relocating to Wessex Road, Yeovil for completion. Unfortunately, a first baby and mortgage resulted it being sold to Les Carter, who kept it for a few years and sold it to someone in Scotland. It was robbed it of its number and its current whereabouts are unknown.
