Nice, never seen one like that. I was expecting some modern "retro" fake but that looks genuine. I'd say from the style of the Royal Enfield logo that it was 1920s, possibly earlier?

I cut the side out of a Castrol Grand Prix can in the 1950`, to use as a catch tray for oil changes. I still had it into the 2000`s.

This type of oil container could be as early as pre WW1, I have catalogues/parts books from 1911-14 and most show this size oil tin, but with slightly different designs. It was available in a 2 pint size. I'm also looking for one, to go with my 1912 bikes. If anyone comes across one, I'd be grateful for a heads up. At least I know what colour tin I'm looking for now!
