Hi everybody. I haven't posted on here for a while. Been very busy, holidays, restoring my "new" 1959 Triumph 5TA Speed Twin and all that family stuffs. As a result I have forgotten to invite ALL Enfield riders, no matter where built or when, to MadMikes Gathering, which takes place this coming Sunday the 18th September. the venue as usual is The Bulls Head on the A47, just 3 miles north of Mallory Park in Leicestershire. Starts at about 11:00am and goes on until we have all gone home. No concourse, no fees, no wheelies or burnouts, and no attitude. just great classic bikes and their equally great classic riders. Everybody is invited and will be made welcome. Great beer and food in the pub. I have ordered fine weather as usual. My apologies for the late notice, but I hope that all, or some of you will join us.

RT is going reasonably well so there is no reason why I cannot manage a ride out.

And I came here for a bit of peace and quiet! Unfortunately family commitments mean that I can't come to this MMG, but for anyone who's not been before, they're relaxed, informal, lots of friendly people with all sorts of machines old, new, rocket-powered and whatever. A grand day out.

The pulse-jet rocket engine trike was an amazing thing to see and HEAR!!!.
