Being the owner of the Continental 535, l find it difficult to find any real criticism of the bike, apart from one serious feature, that being the small bar end mirrors, especially riding on duel carriageways. Riding on the near side lane as we are supposed to do, changing lanes to overtake can be a dangerous manover, especially if you are wearing a full face helmet, the small mirrors do not always give you enough rear view if you are in traffic inmy opinion that is, so has anyone changed their small factory fitted mirrors for much larger ones that give a larger view, if so what have you fitted, l would appreciate some feed back, what a great forum this is, always plenty of interesting subjects

Maybe contact local dealers and see if they have any more standard mirrors; I THINK some bikes were sold with the larger-not bar end mirrors- maybe someone else has gone the other way and took larger mirrors off and replaced with bar ends?

The Continental GT doesn't come with bar end mirrors as standard. I've got the conventional black mirrors that came as standard and they're pretty useless due to the vibration.

The billet alloy bar end mirrors Hitchcocks sell get a good review though. They also sell a range of mirrors that might be more suitable. There's no substitute for a glance over your shoulder before changing lanes though. John

The CGT I was offered came with the aluminium bar-end mirrors. This may be down to the dealership., they're listed as optional extras. Anyway, I didn't fit the CGT so I got the C5 and that now has Hitchcocks Halcyon-type bar-end mirror p/n.92527A. This mirror is nicely curved and gives a good large view to the rear. Some of the available mirrors are not curved as well. The stock handlebar lever mirrors gave a good view of my elbow and chest.
