I have had large and small sidecar outfits over the years and I am thinking of putting one on my Bullet 65, not interested in putting a passenger in there just like riding outfits and would welcome any advice from any owners. Happy to fit it myself etc just wondering how good or bad they are, not bought one yet I need to sell my CB500 Twin first.

From my own experience, you need at least a 650cc twin motorcycle to cope with today`s traffic conditions. I don`t consider single- cylinder engines up to the job.

I have had great fun on several small outfits such as a 350 Jawa, CX500 and even a 250 Superdream. Also I put a chair on my 1500 Goldwing years ago. Found them all to be ok as long as you pick your roads, my journey to work is only 40mph roads and 7 miles each way so low power is ok for what I want to use it for mainly.

I've had an Enfield classic 500cc (the old engine) with Watsonian Manx sidecar since I bought it new in 2007. Not very fast but about as much fun as I can imagine.

The dog loves it, as well as people young and old. I know you say yours isn't much for passengers; I use mine for carrying a lot of stuff round as well. Or just because I like it. -C

I don't do chairs but I can tell you that the Sixy-5 is probably the best of the iron barrel models. The gearbox is much better than the old Albion design. If you're used to LHS gearchange that will suit you as well.

I thought my 65 would be better with the 5 speed box, I like the Cozi sidecar because its small or even the Velorex that the Jawa had. My friend has a Squire adult/ small child one with the 10" wheel for sale but not sure if its too heavy
