Due to the lease being up on my friend's clock shop, I needed to spend a day taking my GPO electric clock system down. I couldn't leave Tornado outside now could I?

Several people came in an wanted to know "How much for the army motorcycle?" It was very nice to see interest in Tornado, but I soon found the best way to explain that he was not for sale... Even to the guy that came in twice and took photos and seemed to really want it for his friend. Then Moo came into the back of the shop to ask me how much for a punter that was in the showroom. I was surprised as she knows that Tornado is not ever for sale. I didn't bother with a sheet on the carpet as Tornado does not leak oil.

The GPO master clock system was one of the more intricate systems, comprising of two large 36 type masters with changeover switch, with the relay set fully wired for all functions and a smaller 46 type master. They were synchronised automatically everyday from the MSF radio time signal. There were also many slave clocks, including the double faced street clock.

Maybe I will find another place in the uk as I don't want to transport them all to France.

I still have the special tool for adjusting the relay armature travel, also the gram gauges and spring benders for those relays
