Saw a new Thunderbird in Chester today parked at a well known bike spot, it had a Watsonian plate on it. I thought these were not sold over here? got the new EFI engine with a black finish, looked quite nice.

They're not official imports, but a few private imports are now starting to show up. As the former UK importers, Watsonian-Squire might still have a few friends at RE India who can be persuaded to ship one over.

Adrian is right as I have a thunderbird exported here in 2004 to a private collection

Happened to see a blue (Watsonian plated) Thunderbird on the RE stand at Calne bike show on Saturday.

Quite a few of the older AVL Thunderbirds made it over here, so I'm not surprised the newer versions are starting to show up. No mention of the Thunderbird on the W-S website though, so the Watsonian plate is a bit of a mystery. Grey imports by the former importer??? A.
