Hi guys , I have just inherited a 1965 Enfield 200cc UK built motorcycle with 259 kms . I have tried to find some information on the bike , and the only information I could find is that they changed the name of the bike to a mini bullet and was moved to India for production . I have asked a few people from clubs here in Australia , but no one seems to know anything about this model . Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time Peter .

I think the clue is that it is badged "Enfield", Enfield-India did make a number of small bikes that were totally unrelated to anything produced by Royal Enfield in England around that time.

Yeah, as Jefrs says. Hard to be sure without pics but this sounds like the first wholly Indian produced bike, a 200 cc 2-stroke fitted with an Indian made Greaves (?) engine and called, I think, the Crusader. I've seen a few imports here in the UK and they are pretty horrible but beauty etc....

A bit of Wikipedia suggests this is either a 175cc Sherpa/Crusader with Indian built Villiers engine or a much later (1980-83) Mini Bullet which is 200cc.

Bullets were NOT produced in Britain until 1971 as that video suggests, they ran until 1963 [1965 if you include the unit Crusader based ones and possibly the reason for all the 1965 nonsense surrounding what are obvious recently imported older Indian machines]. I had to laugh when it said the Mini Bullet is now rare and collectable - by who - the dustman? Pull the other one !!! Regards, Paul.
