Stand by for a 100 different answers & one Question: Do you mind Oil/Grease Drips on the Ground?...IMHO: on My 99 350 Classic which was in Daily use and Did do some Long Trips Scotland France etc..I would put about an Egg Cup of Engine oil in about Once a week in daily use, Like wise I used What ever Heavy Grease we had at work..Gear shift became Sweet with use ,I never had in 30,000 Miles any Trouble with the 4 speed Box (Touch Wood) ..Yes it Dripped a Bit and In Hot Weather it would self Gloop Grease off the Gear Shaft when Parked up..AND They are allegedly Kits/Seals to Make the Box Oil Tight...But in Daily use mine was fine & drips where a Lot less then many Old Japs..But the Gear Change Became very Nice (And I have Owned other Bullets that where a Pain but used vedol etc)..:Lastly You can not easily check How Much Grease you have in But Once a Year I drained a Cup full of Yuck out..Pumped in as Much Gease as I could then Syringed in My Oil..Often a Chunck Of Grease near the Top Blocks the Oils Route in,,,"So be a Classic Brit and drip a bit" all IMHO of course Oh it Did Stain the Exhaust in the Middle as it dripped out in flight but its better than rust ;0)................Cheers all
