Royal Enfield cafe racer drawings appear in France. And they look great.

Royal-Enfield

There’s some speculation in the French press about what we’re likely to see next from Royal Enfield.

Our cousins across the water are leaning towards a 600cc and 750cc version of these cafe racers after the recent launch of the company’s Himalayan adventure model. Using two illustrations by Glynn Kerr to make the point about what might be on the horizon.

We do know that several new models based around modular parts are coming, the factory itself has confirmed that the models are on their way (but is yet to say exactly what we’ll see other than making a comment that the next models will be motorway friendly).

So this is speculation at the mo, but we figured we’d still show you the illustrations and tell you what the French think. If Enfield does end up making something along these lines then would you buy it?

I thought the rumours up till now said Enfield were working on a parallel twin? If they're working on a V, then yeah, I might be interested.

Here are the "drawings".. now we can all see what we're supposed to be looking at.. Actually, I quite like the look of the one on the right.

Personally I like the look of this but I can't afford the kit to build one:-

Pushrods still? Time for some bevel drive OHC's surely. And are desmodromic valves really too much to expect?

There are plenty of these artists impressions on the web. You can even go on the artists web site and see some of his "designs". These look like a combination of a chassis with the new Indian engine installed. He has done big trailie and caffe racer versions too in the past. I doubt they are connected officially to Royal Enfield in any way.
