Yes, this really did start out with me looking for a replacement seat,,,,,,,,,,,,, I might have got a bit carried away, but I have long legs and always felt a bit cramped on the little Enfield. Fits me much better now, looks pretty too,,,,,, IMHO,,,,,,,,,

I have one of them Seat's & I find it very comfy..The Previous Owner Fitted Scissor Springs in stead of the Standard and it makes it so much better..(A) it looks Better and level ,(B) it do's Not pogo (Go multi up and down) after a Bump or Pot hole (C)and more important the seat do's not lean in to bends 5 min's before the rest of the Bike..

Hi Craig, glad to hear the seat is comfy, I only finished putting it back together today so other than a quick trip round the block to set the bars and controls I've not had chance to try it. I will admit I did jack the rear of the seat up by about an inch to get a comfy position. It might look quite a steep angle but it levels out when you park 16 stone on it! I'd be interested in a picture of the scissor springs if you have time.

I have the complete opposite problem, duck's disease, 28-in inside leg. Which means I'm probably taller than you ostrich legged types when sitting down, and a goodly 15-stone/100kg. I've gone through several iterations of sorting the seat.
My solution was to remove the springs and fit stout steel brackets, which would work just as well to raise the seat as to lower it.
I had to adjust the middle bush mount to get the seat down, removing the rubber bush and using the front mount, it should be possible to raise the front on a suitable bracket. The brackets need to be fabricated from steel thick enough so they do not crush sideways with a gorilla on top. They also need to be bent into a bit of a funny L/Z shape - cardboard template. Brackets do not sink down when you plant your weight on them like springs do, there are heavier springs available from India.
The result of removing the springs is a more comfortable ride, the seat is stable and cannot pogo. The wallowing sensation is gone and it is more connected to the road. The rear shocks are well capable of absorbing english roads.

Craig, thanks for the link. Think I'll leave mine alone for now though, I've jacked the back of my seat up by an extra inch to accommodate my 32" inside leg. I parked the Enfield next to my Transalp this morning and the seat and bars are about the same height now! I actually don't mind the pogoing, at the speeds the Enfield runs at it's not much of a problem, if I need to get somewhere in a hurry I can always take the Harley,,,,,,,,
