They both look very nice indeed, good work! With two bikes which one are you riding to the Interceptor Rally? Your neighbours must be very patient, both bikes sound even louder than mine, mind you I can't hear it when I'm riding...

Thanks Les. Most kind of you to post it properly.

Cheers Mark. I'd like to get to the Inter Rally this year, but not up for a 200 mile round trip. I'm too soft in me old age. Tearing around locally is my idea of fun, on roads I know. My arse starts to go to sleep after about 15 miles. Pathetic I know. I can also run them on 100% 4 star fuel as long as I only go 40 miles away from Platt's garage in Marlow. Tiddly fuel tank. Nice job, Cleggy, does the Bullet disc brake conversion live up to expectations on the twin? I love the look of the small chrome panel tanks, but perhaps our hosts could have a word with their suppliers and see if they can up with a version 2" wider to get some more 4 star (all right for some!) in and extend the range a bit.

Hi A., A brick on a string would be better than the original front brake; but yes, the disc does the job well. Bites nicely. Originality prevents me from fitting any other type of (larger) tank. The bike's current range suits my short endurance perfectly. TTFN Jack

I found 100 miles is easily possible on a tank of Super, cruising at 65-70. But mine has Monoblocs which are more frugal than Concentrics. I'll let you know how fuel consumption works out on my Conc equipped Mk2 when I get that far. I find the 7" front brake on mine adequate for normal use but you need to brake Brit style, ie, lots of rear brake (which is good,) and engine braking. Emphasis on the front is a more modern style of riding I think. If I've just got off a modern it takes a few miles to re-adjust. I have bought a s/h Indian brake and wheel and might try it one day when I've nothing else to do!
