It was the Our Goy in India programme that finally pushed me into Enfield ownership last year!

as a tribute to him, I've made myself a hand carved and replicated copy of his logo for the front of the bike. carved it out of a plaster of paris blank, moulded it in 2 pack silicone, then made copies of it using a 2 pack resin that we use at work! the actual logo is about 3-4mm higher than the background

probably a copywrite problem somewhere, but I just bought 2 stickers like it and they came without a problem?

I never thought of selling them, but suppose I could? if interested, let me know. any profit at all will go to the red cross society as they helped my mum in law with a load of aids before she (just) died.

we chatted to him on a pre 65 trials a few weeks ago.. the enfield is still there under lock and key, no producer has approached him yet as to a programme to see it ridden home (shame that) so he says he may do it unsponsored one day just for a laugh!

Funnily enough that program was the "straw that broke the camel's back" for me too. Been mulling it over for ages but then the right deal appeared with a P/Ex that suited and i became the proud owner of a 2011 B5.

No real point in riding it back. My understanding is the India bikes have no emission control so are not able to be registered in the EU.

Although they are cheap enough to buy over there and ride back for fun. Keep the bike as an ornament or sell it as spares when you get back

my mate bought an imported Classic 500 from an Indian guy who had it sent back in a container with a load of business stuff.

He had to have it IVA (individual vehicle approval) tested.. he had to swap to some EU registered tyres, but that's all. there were no emmison tests.
