I have been waiting for this bike. I have been told I can get one next year for my 60th birthday. Let's hope its as good as it looks

It might be a while before any are imported here. These are still carburettor fitted (a bonus in my book), I don't know how far they've got with (or whether they've even started on) a Euro-compliant model. I see the leading axle fork has made a comeback, though I don't like the non-fork mounted headlamp. A.

I agree.. if this is aimed at being a proper long distance muddy tourer, a carb is much easier to fix / replace.
I'm not completely up to date with the euro requirements.. I'm presuming that if a bike is IMPORTED from a manufacturer then its needed.. what would happen if you imported one from India yourself re the euro emission requirement?

Official imports will (or are supposed to!) meet the current requirements over here. I suspect that we will see something based on the new 411cc engine imported here in due course, possibly with a larger engine capacity, but fuel-injected with all the latest Euro-emisson stuff and ABS braking. Hopefully our hosts will offer a carb and drum brake conversion kit! I don't fancy your chances trying to get a private import of one of these registered. A.
