in just 4 weeks and 1 day of my new C5 Classic ownership, it has attracted more attention than any other bike I have ever had, including my 2002 Bonnie.

twice, in Aldi car park, 2 non bikers stopped me to chat about it. on the way home, a range rover opened the window whilst I was at the side of him and made nice compliments.

Yesterday, I parked it outside Morrisons.. when I got out there was an old chap looking at it.. he must have been 85 at least, and had a bad speech impediment possibly due to a stroke? What a great 10 minute chat we had! he was a biker in the 60's and 70's.. had an Enfield twin, triumphs, nortons, even a Black Bomber Honda!

this morning.. petrol station.. a rather attractive lady ( I guess in her 50's) stopped whilst walking back to her car and had a chat!

whats not to like with Enfield Ownership!

1st service tomorrow.. just 1 bolt fell out, exhaust heat shield.

I know what you mean. Denmark doesn't have too many classic style machines on its streets so Thumper, a 2003 500 bullet, gets more than his fair share of attention whenever and wherever I stop. I had a police officer wave me in to the roadside once. He parked his Kawasaki ZFR and walked back to me. He had only stopped me to get a look at my machine. Cheeky bugger. He'd never seen a right hand gear change before and the neutral selector blew his little mind..

It's rather strange and kinda weird to have walkers wave at a bike as you pass them on a country lane. What's going on there?

Jefrs - Your zip's probably undone!

But yes, most people are curious and like to take a second glance at anything that looks out of the norm (Welcome back norm, missed you!), and any bullet, even a new one certainly fills that description.

Scalyback - thanks for the heads up, staying up is a bit of a personal embarrassment but none of the wimmin fainted.

It's beginning to look a lot like dress like a penguin and one might freeze to death if a single zip is unsecured.
