I like the colour but why are they still fitting a torpedo instead of a silencer? That would have to go if it was mine. The "flicked up" one looks so much better.

Nice bike!
The torpedo can be jettisoned for the 50's type or goldie but then you need the Power Commander V with map for it to fix the mix.
I called it a log and when I took it off I found out why the bike wanted to lean to the right, that thing is heavy.
Otoh I'd wait until after first service before doing anything other than get some spare bulbs and fuses because the oem ones are a bit iffy. Get to know the bike and run it in gently. Enjoy!

PeterF, I'm not too sure the 'flicked up one' fits with the new stylee mudguard support frame that runs lower than the previous model. Another difference is the front fork has 10mm less lead but compensates by having a 90/90-19-in wheel giving it a longer rake (110/80-18 rear). Seat fittings differ too.

Nice one, I have just purchased 2 weeks ago a new Royal Enfield Bullet Electra EFI, in metallic Red, I would post a picture of it but cannot find anywhere to add the picture.
I had a 1959 Crusader Sports as my main mode of transport for 3 years in 1963/64/65 and wanted a Royal Enfield ever since, I have been out in all weathers including the snow since I bought it, it is coming up to its first service already.

I changed the front pipe and silencer on mine after reading in the parts manual that the new pipe was more free flowing also the chrome 'heatshield'covered a rusting
poorly made silencer that was very heavy,I rang MrH and the lad I spoke to said there was no need for the power commander. The difference is amazing, the performance can be
described as "crisp and brisk" and the sound a joy to behold, one other thing I would change is the clutch cable, the nipple pulled off mine, luckily at home and not while I
was touring in Spain, the replacement from Mr H was much more up to the job and is nylon coated so just needs a squirt of WD40 occasionally to dispel any water.

smiffy r - I did much the same (50s fre-flow system) only the down pipe blued from weak mix, got told it needed the PCv, which indeed solved the problem, the pipe went coppery and power delivery became much smoother.

Er, no Caboose, he said, "did 60 miles on her on the way home," So I am guessing feminine.
