Out in the October Sun

Got lost again visiting the huge french army Barracks!

Check out the 'junction deja vue'!

In other news...

i was flicking through The Gun (Issue 246) and was reading about the bristol classic bike show from February. Kevin had been there but I had never seen a photo until I spotted this in the article...

People do say that they all look the same, but I recognise the hand grips. Right at the beginning of the row too!

Can't find the French army barracks? You've probably gone past it, go back a couple of miles! ;)

Was that tree in the middle of the roundabout a mulberry bush and are you likely to get shot at turning up at a military place wearing camouflage stuff and a camera

That video inspired me to get out myself so I took the Mk1 Interceptor for a run around North Bucks and South Northants this afternoon. Very nice too, and if I knew how I'd post a picture I took next to the locks at Stoke Bruerne on the Grand Union canal to prove it. Thanks Scaley, cheered me up no end!

Scaly, please never leave us, we just love your postings! Today I walked in Hood jeans, boots and Barbour over the moor from Harden to Keighley to pick up my repaired Electra EFI. An hour and a half hour delightful (if strenuous) walk through Autumn colours, past a lovely little bronze-age circle in beautiful muted sunshine. Collected the bike - what joy to be riding again through a perfect Autumn day. You are fortunate to live where you do, I am fortunate to live in the Yorkshire Pennines. Please keep riding and writing. P.S. My late father-in-law was Royal Signals from WWII to retirement in 1972. All the best! Stephen

What part of La Belle France is that then? I wasn't sharp enough to spot the road signs. I'm currently hiding from the real world near Mayenne and enjoying the autumn sun around the lanes of Normandy. Would you be interested in an English biker forum here in France? Are you maybe already a member? Am I allowed to post details of another forum on this one? Why do I ask so many damn fool questions? and what is the terminal velocity of an unladen swallow?

The terminal velocity of an unladen swallow, Andy, depends upon which motorcycle it is attached to. Adam

I was told that the velocity of an unladen swallow, depended on the strength of the throat muscles.

Anyway, the camp is Valdahon, in franche compte, near the swiss boarder.

And no, they won't be shooting at me or they will not be getting their contraband! SHHH!

I am glad you enjoyed the vids and also that Mark got his inter out. It had been a cold (1 or2 degree) week here, and suddenly that day dawned all sunny and warm. Will be back in UK about 17th so last chance run!
