I keep on seeing Enfields about in SW Scotland but there is no local REOC branch. There is a "classic car show" at Semple Loch Lochwinnoch on Sun 18 October - anyone fancy a run out?

Depending on the weather, i.e. no rain, I would be up for that, nice little 50 mile Sunday run would be nice!

Been back over to uk 6 times in 8 years saw 7 enfields and 12 535gt at john, o, groats not much of a show seen more here in aust and most of the time we had good weather over there must hide them under the bed as the yanks say ride em do, nt hide em.

Dunno - I suppose the bloke from Beith might be there. I will go over for lunch in the tea room. Maybe the West of Scotland RE owners are not a terribly social lot!

Sunday 18th 23:03 hrs. Hi Guys, Hope your run out to the Lochwinnoch area went ok today, I was away doing Amateur Radio things at Galashiels, unfortunately, my 1958 Meteor Minor is in lodged in the shed at the moment awaiting major repairs to the petrol tank. Regarding the lack of a branch of the REOC in SW Scotland, I have taken steps to hopefully rectify the situation, with luck, details should be in "The Gun" edition No.50. REgards: Dick REOC 3289. South Ayrshire.

motorcycles at Lochwinnoch: Hesketh 1000, BSA plunger frame 500, My 350, a very smart Triumph 350 twin with the bathtub, and a few modern bikes in the spectators car park. One proper car, an Austin 12 tourer, and lots of small fords with big motors shoe-horned in. But nice weather and a good run there and back.
Excellent news, Dick, hope we can get something going.

As you chaps rid through Scotland and elsewhere in the UK, please keep an eye out for the Royal Enfield that just doesn't look or sound "quite right." The India motorcycle press people say the twin is being tested in the UK,. Perhaps one of you will spot it and get that first "spyshot;" if the damn thing exists.

Ack, sorry I missed this! I bide from Paisley so am SW Scotland based... Been an REOC member for years but was going to let it lapse this year since the Gun is a bit rubbish now and there was no local scene to join in with. Don't have time to 'be' or start the local scene either... That and my RE is off the road and has been for some time now (it's an EFI Electra for those that can remember my continual woes on this forum!) and my current bike is manpowered...
