When my son was born 2 years ago i was knocked off my VFR! Thus my biking days were over. From no car in 6 years to a ford KA (dads pram). Needs must!! But i needed my fix. I want to tinker with my bike (but i'm no mechanic) and it needs to be cheap but be 'special'. What to do?
Thus i purchased a 2007 Electra in October 2 years later. It sat in my garage until i finally serviced it in April (easy)! Took it out for quick blast and found the 'character' : Speedo cable snapped and it leaks petrol from the fuel cap. So speedo cable replaced fuel cap 'gasket' made! READY. Err not quite. 2 year old son gives me chicken pox. Great!!
But today suitably recovered, missus satisfied (i did the gardening yesterday)! I went to Bridgenorth today. What can i say FANTASTIC. Love the sound, love the experience. Big smile on my face but you all knew that anyway!!!
I want to meet other Enfield owners so will post on here re;- Stourbridge/Bridgenorth rideouts!
Keep on ridin' and smilin'!!!

Its gets even better when you're going to the gas station only once a fortnight and you'll soon be wondering how you were ever seduced by a few grands' worth of jap plastic. Welcome to the machine.

Hello LEE B and welcome aboard, me hart-ee !!------------Have a look at the social listing for "SHROPSHIRE BULLET BASH" postings. Using this forum for keeping in touch, the idea is to have at least one ride-out per month---usually starting from the Cafe' at QUATT or other well known local "watering holes". Yesterday we had "BULLET BASH No3 to a classic bike rally at a PUB just South of Leicester---then a call-in at a Steam Railway for Tea & Cakes !! A round trip of some 130 miles approx. Recently we went to the Elan Valley dams and have been on the Clee Hills-TWICE !! plus a run over the Long Mynd and on to Dinkies Diner at Shrewsbury. Also you might find this bunch of lads to your liking as well }-------

Alan, cheers for the tip. I'll keep my on eye on the forum and the website as i live in Stourbridge so i know 'quatts' well. It's where i went yesterday!!
Grunda - I'm not sure about the amputation i have a 'near miss' story about my Brother and angle Grinder and a pair of bent handle bars. I think i'll just replace it with a hitchcocks item!! I do look forward to seeing some of you soon to compare bikes, stories and helpful hints.
P.S I was the ONLY Enfield at the Quatts Cafe. But there were plenty of shiny Harleys. I think i made the right choice!!!!

lee by adjusting the length of your existing silencer you can be sure that it will fit your bike as some pattern silencers need surgery to make fit only a suggestion all the best paul.
