"Get out there"

From 'The MotorCycle' 26th June 1958

There is a nice road test of the Meteor Minor De Luxe in the same magazine, click here and scroll down to Kevin's Corner.

There is some neat historical literature on Amal carbs and Smith's motorcycle equipment too!

Spot on. Must be age but I'm finding much more pleasure in pottering round local lanes on my Bullet than in doing longer rides on my SV650S. It was the other way round when I kept the bikes in Suffolk. More than half a mind to trade in the Suzuki for a new RE. I'll always want my 4 speed 350 in the garage though.

Just one other thing: I leave the map at home. I've learnt to get lost.

I always like to leave early in the day, giving me time if I get lost too!

Once, I got lost and ended up coming through West Malling village. It seems there used to be a monastery there.

Now, if that picture isn't worth getting lost for...

There is a nursing home just round the corner from the water fall in your picture were I sometimes work on there hoisting equipment, I get to explore every working day, can not wait to retire later this year to do it for fun
