NICE SUNNY SPRING DAY

what a great day yesterday was.. wall to wall spring sunshine.
we went out on the 2006 500 Classic. from our place in Kirkby in ashfield to chesterfield to meet friends, then grindleford railway café for breakfast, then through hathersage and hope to Castleton. Up wynatts pass (steep) then Dove Holes, Buxton, Bakewell and finally to Matlock Bath for ise cream.
As always, Matlock Bath was rammed with bikers and tourists.. some very cool bikes and cars. also came across a classic car rally. all in all a great 90 mile ride out.
Lessons learned. The RE runs like a basterd if you inadvertently knock on the choke (doh) and the brakes, whilst adequate if going forward, and crap if you have to stop on the steepest part of Wynatts Pass cos some push bike tosser is taking up all the road and a car cannot get round!
Grindleford Railway café does fantastic bacon cobs too.
