rode Bertie around Sussex for 5 hours today, every gear change was precise, no false neutrals, no stalls, what a great ride, puts a smile on my face every time I go out, got to love your Bullet.

Looks like you had some decent weather as well even some early rain to clean the roads off, Kent Highways have given notice that the gritters will be out at 4 am tomorrow that mixed with some possible light rain first thing will most likely keep my bikes confined to the shed

Still too much ice on the road to get Thunderbolt out.

However ice or no ice, we go out tomorrow!

------ and you were going to sell Bertie at one time I seem to remember ??......Bet you're glad you didn't ??.......Mine won't be back on the road until early Autumn at best !!........... Meanwhile that little red CG125 ( remember him ??) is doing sterling service .....

The bike got a good wash down as soon as I got home Les, and the gritter has just gone past my house, as it does about this time every night, terrible waste of salt. You need spiky tyres Scaly!.. And Alan your right, it would have been madness to sell Bertie, deciding not to sell was the best decision I have made..

Alan, heck of a lot of work? where? on those later ones which don't require rectifications to the cases, etc, cuppla days, pull the motor, strip it down, bang in a new big end and a new set of mains, bolt the cases back up, that sees out day one, day 2 barrel and head back on and back into the frame, bolt up all the little bits and pieces and you should be close to firing up that evening

Done so many of them Wilf, you know every nut and bolt and every sneaky way of doing things

Wilf, they can easily turn ugly though, when you have to get cases welded up and machining done and you have flogged out flywheels then the wheels can really fall off the little red wagon
